Last night it was St Michaels Street folk evening. The street was closed to traffic for the evening so both   dancers and onlookers could enjoy themselves. Four pubs in the street had live bands, we saw the Swanvesta Social Club playing at the Black Lion, a local band that have a loyal following and deservedly so with their inauthentic sound of Cuba, latin beat with just a hint of St Albans!

Went to the market this morning, the traffic in St Peter's Street was stopped to let the Folk at the Festival process through the town, there were a variety of Morris dancers and musicians and I spotted a folk group from Switzerland with alpenhorns in traditional dress.
