Butterfly World St Albans revisited

Family under the Giant Ant at Butterfly World Chiswell Green St Albans

It was a weekday but with this glorious late september weather and everyone at home a family trip was on the cards. We decided to go to Butterfly World for the afternoon, only a ten minute drive from where we live. The final Phase and main structure, the Biome, has yet to be built but don't let that put you off going there's still lots to see and do especially for children.

BT to the Rescue

This post has been keyworded under:
Iris seed pod

On Wednesday we were without home phone or computers, a branch from a neighbours tree fell on the telephone wire and severed it. This morning BT engineers came promptly at 8 am, we are back online! Good service BT, well done.

The photograph, above, I took in the garden, it's the seed pods of a very unassuming iris (its flowers are brown and purple), but its berries look like strings of shiny orange beads.
