Had coffee this morning at the Merchant Tea & Coffee cafe in the Old Town Hall. Very disappointing, not the coffee but the fact they charge extra for milk in the coffee. I ordered two regular Americano coffees with milk on the side, being an adult I like to put my own milk in my coffee. It came to £4.90. I thought that must be a mistake (£2.45 seemed a little steep for a cup of coffee). I was told it was 35p extra for milk! What a rip-off. The jugs were tiny, I sent one back and got a 35p refund and let them know my displeasure!
