All in all we did have an enjoyable family Christmas. Alice, my daughter, played nurse when I wasn't feeling well and she came good helping with the Christmas dinner. As you can see from the photo, Alice is proud to show the roast vegetables she cooked, a la 'Jamie's Family Christmas'.
At the moment I'm looking for a new sewing machine, my 21 year old Husqvarna has seen better days, maybe a computerised one this time. My head hurts from comparing sewing machines online, there are just too many. I feel I need to see the machines demonstrated because I don't want to spend a lot of money on a machine that is all singing all dancing but won't play the exact tune I want!

You deserve a new machine!
I'm a huge Bernina fan and scored a great deal on a demo model (Artista 165)
which has the embroidery attachment.
I'm a bit intimidated by all the embroidery possibilities but the price was too good and I'll grow into it all gradually.
