On Tuesday I had a nice 'crafty' morning with my friend Sue. I was showing Sue how to crochet roses and spirals, we both agreed the spirals would make interesting necklaces. Sue showed me some of the things she is working on at the moment, I like a show and tell, it's good to share ideas.

The next day Sue and I went to visit Nicola Champion from Getbeading, to buy some of her lovely beads. I bought some handmade lampwork beads, each one is a little work of art, not sure what I will do with them yet though. Nicola runs beading workshops, to find out more visit her website Getbeading

This is the pattern for the crocheted rose I was teaching Sue to make, I first featured the pattern in 2008. I have included photographs of the process to help make it a little clearer.

I must recommend Crochet Basics it's a glossary of crochet terms and abbreviations, it's a code breaker for crochet!
