Crocheted Yo-Yo Puffs (Suffolk Puffs)

Crocheted bracelet made with yo-yo puff daisies

When I made my bib necklaces (free pattern)  I incorporated fabric yo-yo puffs (Suffolk puffs) into the design, decorating and embellishing them with embroidery. I was both delighted and intrigued to find a crocheted version of the yo-yo puff on Craft Passion.  Craft Passion has created an excellent yo-yo puff tutorial, with the use of photographs. I got out my hook and followed the very clear instructions. I can see lots of uses for these decorative medallions. In fact today I played around with them, adding shanked buttons, making them look like flowers. This made me think of daisies which lead to thoughts of a daisy chain necklace/bracelet. I also thought they would look good decorating flip flops or as a brooch.

Nice! :) Finding a lot of inspiration in this post!

I would be interested to see what you conjure up from the basic pattern

These are lovely Anjie - but I can't crochet :(

I bet you could, if you gave it a go, it's only a small project and crochet is quicker than knitting.
