In the summer I did a tutorial on lanterns for the garden. Now it is Autumn I have created designs that are more mellow, to reflect the season. For these lights I have used straight sided tumblers (Wilkinsons sell them very cheaply). I have also included a ' pumpkin' design for Halloween, I used a squat shaped jar for this one. Follow the method I used for the Summer lanterns here. To decorate the 'pumpkin' lantern I just cut-out and stuck on simple feature shapes from black paper, so easy but effective. For the other lights I used a stamp and cut-out leaf shapes in autumn shades. If you don't have a stamp you could cut simple leaf shapes by hand.
