Larks in Victoria Park

cake stall

The event was organised as part of St Albans Festival, it had the feel of a village fete. lots of entertainment for the children, a band playing live music and stalls. There was a variety  stalls selling cakes, books, plants, tombola, an interesting stall selling vintage objet d'art, I bought two scarves one a souvenir of Paris. There was also a very informative stall  selling honey, organised by the St Albans Beekeepers' Association. To demonstrate how a hive works there was a  glass sided case containing a honeycomb with a colony of bees in it, giving you an idea how a bee hive is constructed and how busy a bee can be! If you feel you might like to join in on what is a useful and interesting craft contact the St Albans Beekeepers' association and find out more 01727 874626. They were very friendly and would welcome aspiring beekeepers.
