Rose in the garden

The bank holiday weekend weather was lovely, we spent most of the time in the garden tidying up and potting plants on. On Monday I went to Susie's to show her how to crochet, another crochet convert! Yesterday Sue and I went over to Middlesex University, North London near Cockfosters, to see the Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture. It's only a small museum but it houses a comprehensive collections of 19th and 20th century decorative arts for 'ordinary' homes. The collections include the Silver Studio collection of wallpapers and home textiles and the Crown Wallpaper Archive among others. Sue and I had a reminisce about some of the retro artefacts we recognised from childhood. I particularly liked the 1950's designs especially the textiles. For more information about the museum go to their website here

Gosh, those designs look very familiar - I grew up with some of those! PS So glad I could remind you of the "good old days" with wayzgoose. I went on my first two wayzgooses last year!
