Plastic Fantastic!
This is our piece of installation art. Over the years the kids have collected little plastic toys from crackers, kinder eggs, gifts in cereal packets etc. At first we put them into a glass jar to tidy them away. Then in to a bigger jar as the collection grew. Now they are bursting out of their glass box. There are some really odd little items in the collection. You wonder why they were made in the first place, something lost in translation I suspect. To get a new 'picture' we empty the box and randomly put them back. I think these little pieces of plastic ephemera now have a strength in their number. So if you are ever wondering what to do with that toy from a cracker wonder no more. This is a bit like where's Wally. Can you see Mikhail Gorbachev's head? It lights up and makes an eerie noise when you hold it in your hand!
