On St Albans wednesday market, there is a jumper stall that sells new and second hand jumpers, just £2 each. This is a great resource for Alice, studying knitting at uni., she can have her own archive of designs at affordable prices. It's interesting for her to see how the sweaters are constructed and the type of stitches and yarns that are used. The pieces are usually made in luxury yarns like wool, mohair, angora, and cashmere. The latest find is an oversized 80's jumper, in mohair, it's an abstract geometric design in bold colours. At the moment it has pride of place in the living room on a mannequin, looking like a piece of modern art! The real bonus is Alice can wear her archive, street fashion on a limited budget.

Put them in the freezer!
Yes, I know about that trick
Yes, I know about that trick ... already done it with one affected item! It seems to do cashmere the world of good!
I think it's time I raided
I think it's time I raided my wardrobe, and gave Alice all my old 'cast off' sweaters. Appropriate for a student studying knitwear I think.
Oh and the moths come with no extra charge ... just love!
