Spam, the tinned meat variety. Saw a competition on the Spam website, a tongue-in-cheek site. I now know there is a Spam museum in America. For the competition you had to think up a recipe using Spam, we had fun thinking up ideas. Why not nouvelle cuisine? Small cut out circles of Spam on a rosti tower with a cranberry coulis, or what about a classic recipe twist? Spam souffle! No to these delights, Ashley decided on Spam kebabs with pineapple drizzled with honey, any one could make it, made the dish took the photograph, down loaded it to the Spam website. Ashley heard yesterday he is the winner for the South East region, this means a trip to London in June to the final at Steph's restaurant in Dean street, a 'celebrity' panel will choose the best dish, Spamtastic!
