Gus dressed to meet those trick or treaters! He looks so scary or do I mean scared. Had a girls get together at Mary's house. She was over from Sweden for a few days. Mary's daughter Rose had arranged a surprise lunch for her. When we all arrived she was filling a skip in the drive. Mary got cleaned up and Rose made a lovely lunch which included a very tasty French onion soup. Mary's house has been rented while she was in Sweden so it was a bit short of furniture except for a very stylish sofa she had shipped over from Sweden. It was so comfy.

On Tuesday evening Ashley and I went to an informal meet-up of St Albans bloggers. Organized by Robin of St Alban's blog here at the Portland Arms here. A very eclectic bunch of blogs, it was nice to meet everyone.

Susie and David's Pergola Party

Susie and David held a get together for friends on Bank Holiday Monday. The food was lovely and we christened their new garden feature, the pergola. I took along a pinata I had made, wanting to test the design out. Luckily the scarf used covers the participants faces!

Celebrations

I celebrated my birthday this weekend. On Friday Susie, Kim, Leanne and I went for breakfast at the Waffle House and I saw Daryl in the afternoon for coffee. On Saturday,my actual birthday we had a family meal at home. On Sunday my neighbours celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a party in their garden but the vagaries of the british weather struck. Sunshine, showers, wind, thunder and lightening we expect no less just hope for a little more! Congratulations Sue and Kim on 30 years together you are great hosts even in the face of adversity.

Leanne and Rob's get together

Leanne and Rob had a get together to celebrate both their 25th wedding anniversary and farewell to their house in Waverley Road. It was good company and lovely food and the weather was a bonus.

Lunch at Daryls

Today I went to Daryls for lunch she did a very good Delia impression making lovely homemade soup, flapjack and banana bread, I do appreciate friends, thanks Daryl.
